NETZSCH receives award for exemplary commitment to fire protection

The NETZSCH Group was honored by the Bavarian Fire Brigade Association and the Bavarian Business Association for its outstanding commitment to fire protection. This special honor highlights the company's extraordinary commitment, which goes far beyond the legal requirements.

For NETZSCH, supporting the Selb volunteer fire department is a matter close to its heart and an integral part of its regional responsibility. "As an industrial company, we are extremely grateful to have an excellently equipped and highly motivated local fire department that ensures the safety of both our companies and the entire community. Working together as partners is also particularly important to us," explained Moritz Netzsch, Member of the Executive Board of the NETZSCH Group.

The close relationship with the local fire department has existed since the company was founded over 150 years ago. Many employees are involved on a voluntary basis and thus contribute to safety in the town and district. "We are very grateful to the NETZSCH Group for its financial and non-material support and for releasing its employees for training courses and unforeseen assignments. This requires a high degree of flexibility and shows the company's deep understanding of the special requirements of the fire department," emphasized Mario Hoffmann, city fire inspector of Selb.

The decision to apply was made by the Selb volunteer fire department after successfully fighting a fire at NETZSCH Feinmahltechnik GmbH last year. Thanks to the smooth communication, the excellent support of the emergency services and the modern equipment, the fire was quickly contained and the damage limited.
