2009 Investments in Grinding & Dispersing Business Unit

Despite the current crisis, NETZSCH Grinding & Dispersing continues to invest in various locations to equip themselves for the future and continued growth.

Besides the construction of the new s-Jet® toll grinding and testing plant at NETZSCH-CONDUX in Hanau, the remodel and expansion of the chocolate laboratory at NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik in Selb and the reorganization of the Production Department at NFT along with the related changes in the factories in Tirschenreuth and on Breslau Street in Selb, investments have been made to upgrade the infrastructure at NSC in China as well as NEM in Brazil.

At NETZSCH (Shanghai) Machinery and Instruments (NSC), a new assembly hall with an area of approx. 1800 m2 has been completed. Equipped with two 10-ton cranes, the machine assembly, warehouse and paint finishing departments have been operating here since completion. The existing factory building is now used primarily for parts production. Further acquisitions were made to add to the existing fabrication machines, e.g. two lathes and a grinding machine.

Changes were also made at NETZSCH Indústria e Comércio de Equipamentos de Moagem (NEM) in Pomerode, Brazil. One was the construction and dedication of a new 600 m2 office building and the other was a 400 m2 laboratory to help meet the increasing demand for application trials. In addition, NETZSCH do Brasil has leased a 2400 m2 hall for production, quality control and assembly and purchased a paint spray cabin, a boring machine and a lathe to be operated there.
