Largest Cutting Mill Delivered

Recently we were able to deliver one of the world's largest cutting mills with a rotor diameter of 1000 mm and a working width of 2400 mm. This gas tight (up to 50 mbar) machine construction will be used to grind polymers with a particle size of 5 mm. The model CS 1000/2400-III-G-W Cutting Mill weighing approx. 20 tons is now the heart of a newly installed production plant.
The massive cutting rotor and its 12 x 4 circumferential cutting strips works at 220 kW and ensures maximum throughput and vibration free operation. An optimum granulate form is attributed to the cutting knives with specially sharpened edges, housing geometry and a unique screen design.
Parts of the housing are sealed with chambered seals. The shaft exit to the bearing arrangement outside the machine is sealed off by a special, purged seal.
