NETZSCH donates 2,000 euros to the water rescue service
Sun, water, swimming fun - for many children, jumping into the cool water is simply part of summer. But safe swimming is essential to ensure that the fun doesn't turn into danger. This is exactly where the Selb Water Rescue Service comes into play: with great voluntary commitment, it teaches children how to swim - and thus actively contributes to safety in and around the water. The water rescue service is now receiving support from NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik GmbH: 2,000 euros will go towards local swimming training - an important contribution to enabling even more children to swim.
“The works council made a conscious decision to make this year's donation to the Selb Water Rescue Service,” explains Sindy Tannert-Koch, Chairwoman of the Works Council at NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik GmbH. "Because swimming saves lives - the more children can swim safely, the better. At the same time, we also want to draw attention to the dangers in and around the water with our donation."
The water rescue team is delighted. Chairman Jürgen Stengel and swimming instructor Achim Zeitler emphasized when handing over the cheque: "Our swimming training is organized entirely on a voluntary basis. The donation will help us to offer additional courses and provide the necessary equipment - especially at a time when fewer and fewer children are able to swim."
