Environmental protection and human rights – NETZSCH Group has joined the UN Global Compact

The NETZSCH Group has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest initiative promoting responsible and sustainable business practices. The company has also become a member of the UN Global Compact Network Germany e.V., thereby underscoring its clear commitment to responsible conduct in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment, and anti-corruption.

‘We are constantly refining our sustainability initiatives in collaboration with our partners,’ says Paul Netzsch, Member of the Executive Board of the NETZSCH Group. ‘Our participation in the UN Global Compact demonstrates our dedication to balancing business activities with environmental and social considerations.’

The UN Global Compact encourages companies worldwide to align their strategies and processes with internationally recognised principles, and to contribute actively to the achievement of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a participant, the NETZSCH Group is committed to implementing these principles consistently and reporting regularly on progress, for example in reducing emissions, ensuring fair working conditions and adhering to ethical standards throughout the entire supply chain.

The Network Germany provides a platform for exchange and collaboration. Over 1,200 organisations from the business, scientific and social sectors work together to develop solutions for a sustainable future.

‘We have already implemented many effective measures to protect the environment and combat climate change, but we want to do more,’ emphasises Johann Vetter, Head of Sustainability Management. ‘This membership opens up new opportunities for us and strengthens our collaboration with like-minded partners.’

For NETZSCH, leading by example is particularly important. The ten principles of the UN Global Compact are firmly integrated into the company’s daily business processes and are already enshrined in its Code of Conduct.
